17-4PH is a precipitation-hardened martensitic stainless steel composed of copper, niobium and columbium. The steel has excellent compressive strength, excellent corrosion resistance, excellent machinability and high material hardness. The compressive strength of the steel can reach 1100-1300MPa, in addition, the corrosion resistance of the steel is the same as 304 and 430.

17-4PH stainless steel welding properties:

17-4PH can be welded by any method in the solution, aging or over-aging state, without preheating before welding, if the strength of the weld is required to be close to the strength of the steel after age hardening, it must be re-solved and aged after welding. The steel is also suitable for brazing, and the most suitable brazing temperature is the solution treatment temperature.

17-4PH stainless steel heat treatment process:

17-4PH solution temperature 1020-1060℃, aging temperature 480-620℃, 4h, aging temperature according to the requirements of use.

17-4PH stainless steel plate use:

1. 17-4PH stainless steel sheet is suitable for offshore platforms;

2. 17-4PH stainless steel module is suitable for food industry;

3. 17-4PH stainless steel round rod is suitable for pulp and paper industry;

4. 17-4PH stainless steel suitable for aerospace (turbine blades);

5. 17-4PH mechanical parts.

Because 17-4PH has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, it is also widely used in petrochemical, nuclear power, aerospace military, shipbuilding, automotive, medical and other industries.
